Monique Passicot has illustrated many textbook projects including a stand alone Spanish version of Los Duendes Y El Zapatero (The Elves And The Shoemaker) (Houghton Mifflin, 1993) for the Spanish textbook series and also a stand alone big book of Lois Meyer's Grandma's Helper (Scott Foresman, 1993). Her black and white illustrations can be seen in the Virginia Haviland collection Favorite Fairy Tales from Spain (Morrow,1995) and The Day The Rabbi Disappeared by Howard Schwartz (Viking, 2000). Monique grew up in Argentina and graduated university in costume and set design. She continued her studies in France and now lives and works in San Francisco. Her paintings and multimedia work are shown in galleries in Europe and the U.S.
